Thank you for your interest in my work. Below are links to websites I have developed and designed. Also included are descriptions of those sites. Please browse each site to experience the various features each one has to offer.

Loose Change Band
This is the project that sparked my interest in web design. My husband's band needed a website and my dad happened to do web design. Continue

Performing Arts Studio
This project was my first attempt to build a website on my own from start to finish. It was designed for a dance studio my children attended. Continue

I originally designed and developed this site. However, I no longer maintain the site. Continue

Valley Speedway
Valley Speedway is my latest piece of work. As a matter of fact, it is a work in progress. Continue

About Me and My Thoughts About Web Design:
I am married and the mother of four children. Currently, I am employed full time as a dealer at Harrah's North Kansas City Casino. I've been dealing at Harrah's for ten years. The games I deal include blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, mini-baccarat, pai-gow poker, and several other games we refer to as carnival games. I am generally interested in anything that involves the performing arts. I have recently re-entered college. I am attending DeVry University and working toward my Bachelor's in Business, majoring in Business Information Systems.

As for web design, I don't like it, I LOVE it. I find that when I start working on a new project, I have to force myself to "put it down". I just don't want to stop until it's done. Of course, most websites I've worked on are never done. They must be constantly updated and changed. I believe that a good website must be easy to navigate. I always try to put myself in the place of the end-user. I also try to view a site on various computers and browsers or get feedback from people using different computers, settings, browsers, etc. than myself. In my opinion, a good website should have continuity throughout. It should use the same colors, themes, fonts, etc. I also believe in the old rule K.I.S.S., less is usually more. For the most part, I believe sections containing text should not be too long. (I know, that's hard to believe based on this page. Text does have it's place.) I like to keep the loading time down for any given page. I don't think anybody likes to sit waiting for a page to open. A very important rule to remember is that what I think, like or want doesn't always matter. The final decisions about the website are up to the client. Finally, when I do a website, I want it to be done to the best of my ability. I feel like every ounce of work I do is a direct reflection of me. Besides, when I'm finished with any aspect of a website, I love to sit back and stare at it adoringly.
