| This particular studio
is always full of excitement and energy. I designed the website to mirror
that energy. The purpose of this website was to provide information to
students and their families as well as to attract new students and
families. The staff at the studio told me they even had calls from
people moving to the area from out of state who had found the site on the
internet. I designed all aspects of
this site with the following exceptions: the curtains on the main page, the
logo was scanned, and I used java scripts from Dynamic Drive. I worked diligently
to increase traffic by listing the site on main search engines, setting up
links from sites that specialized in dance and local directories (i.e.
Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce), and of course, using keywords. I
monitored search engine positioning and traffic reports from my server. I
requested, in writing, permission to use Pamela Bolling's photo from her
web site. I checked with the recording industry to learn the legalities of
using the music on the intro. I also physically sought out the information
with which to update the site weekly and monthly.
