I was contacted by the promoter for Valley Speedway to redo their website. Obviously, I accepted the job. This is a project that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I initially had a meeting with the promoter who had a specific vision for the site. This is the first time I have worked with someone who had any sort of plan or direction for me to use as a guide. He continues to monitor the site and sends me comments, questions and information for updates. It is very nice to have a working relationship with someone who understands the importance of their website.

Artwork that was created by me for the site includes the Valley Speedway header, the background, and the bullets. The gradient background created some new challenges for me as far as placing artwork on the pages and viewing the site in different resolutions. Creating the header (logo) was also challenging to me because this is the first website that I have developed for a business that I was not familiar with at all. I have never been to Valley Speedway (or any racetrack for that matter) and know nothing about the sport of racing cars. Those challenges were overcome and I am pleased with the result.

The "Rules" page is one that I am very proud of. It is well organized and easy to navigate, very useful for the end user. Adding "paypal" options to the "Tickets" page was another first for me.

The website has been very well received to date. It's getting a great amount of traffic. Traffic should only improve as I continue work on the site and it becomes complete.
